Aaron Nola tossed 8 2/3 solid innings, Jean Segura and Ronald Torreyes each homered and the host Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Atlanta Braves 2-1 on Sunday.
The teams split the four-game series.
Nola (7-6) allowed four hits, struck out nine and walked none. He threw 116 pitches, 78 for strikes. Nola had allowed 15 earned runs in his three previous outings.
Ranger Suarez recorded the final out to earn his fourth save in seven opportunities.
Austin Riley homered and doubled twice for the Braves, who managed only four hits.
Braves starter Touki Toussaint pitched seven stellar innings and allowed five hits and one run. Toussaint (1-1) struck out 10 and walked none.
The Braves went hitless through the first three innings. In the bottom of the third, Alec Bohm opened with a single but Torreyes grounded into a double play. Nola grounded out to end the inning.
Riley provided the Braves' first hit with a double to left with two outs in the fourth. Dansby Swanson then struck out swinging on a fastball.
The Phillies went ahead 1-0 when Segura hit a leadoff solo home run to left in the fourth.
Joc Pederson singled with one out in the sixth for the Braves, but Ozzie Albies flied out to right and Freddie Freeman flied out to right-center.
Philadelphia went down in order in the sixth with Bryce Harper and Andrew McCutchen each striking out.
In the seventh, Riley reached third with one out, but Abraham Almonte flied out to shallow left. Guillermo Heredia then grounded out to third.
Nola struck out Pederson on a nasty curve ball to end the top of the eighth.
The Phillies took a 2-0 lead in the bottom half when Torreyes ripped a solo homer, his career-best fourth, against Braves reliever Chris Martin. Torreyes finished with two of Philadelphia's six hits.
Albies struck out swinging to open the ninth and Freeman flied out to left. Riley followed with a solo homer to close the Braves to within one run.
