Trevor Story had a go-ahead RBI single in the 10th inning and Charlie Blackmon added a two-run home run one batter later as the visiting Colorado Rockies rallied for a 9-6 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday night.
Colorado trailed 5-3 in the eighth inning before tying the score on a Blackmon RBI double and an RBI single from Ryan McMahon. The Rockies went ahead 6-5 in the ninth inning on a home run by Sam Hilliard.
The Dodgers tied the score at 6 in the ninth inning on a bases-loaded walk to Justin Turner with nobody out. But Colorado's Daniel Bard rebounded with three consecutive strikeouts to send the game into extra innings.
Without closer Kenley Jansen, who was down Friday after blowing save opportunities in defeats Wednesday and Thursday against the San Francisco Giants, the Dodgers' bullpen was roughed up again.
Brusdar Graterol was charged with two runs in the eighth inning, while Darien Nunez gave up Hilliard's home run in the ninth. Both pitchers were recalled earlier Friday. Loser James Sherfy (2-1) gave up three runs (two earned) in the 10th.
Turner hit a home run for the Dodgers, and left-hander Davie Price went a season-long 5 2/3 innings. Cody Bellinger ended an 0-for-25 dry spell with an RBI double as Los Angeles lost for the fifth time in its last six games.
Bellinger ended up leaving the game in the eighth inning with a tight left hamstring.
Elias Diaz and Story hit home runs for the Rockies, who won for just the third time in 11 games against the Dodgers. Colorado right-hander Chi Chi Gonzalez gave up four runs on five hits over five innings, while Bard (5-5) earned the victory.
The Dodgers had a fast start against Gonzalez, scoring three times in the opening inning. Will Smith had an RBI double, Bellinger brought home Smith with a double, and Matt Beaty had an RBI single to bring home Bellinger.
The double for Bellinger was his first hit since a two-run single in the first inning last Friday at Colorado.
The Dodgers were without All-Stars Mookie Betts (hip injury) and Max Muncy (paternity leave).
