Hyun Jin Ryu pitched seven strong innings, Reese McGuire had three doubles, a single and two RBIs and the visiting Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Baltimore Orioles 7-4 Sunday afternoon.
Bo Bichette also had two RBIs for Toronto in the rubber match of the three-game series.
Ryu (6-4) held the Orioles to one run, three hits and one walk. The left-hander struck out four in winning for the first time since May 28.
Tyler Chatwood pitched around a leadoff walk to earn his first save of the season.
Trey Mancini hit two home runs and had three RBIs for the Orioles. Pedro Severino added a solo homer.
Orioles starter Matt Harvey (3-9) allowed four runs, nine hits and two walks in 4 1/3 innings. Harvey has not won since May 1. The right-hander has taken the loss in eight of nine starts since.
After the Blue Jays left the bases loaded in the first, Mancini homered in the bottom of the inning.
The Blue Jays took the lead with a four-run fifth. McGuire led off with a double and took third on Marcus Semien's flyout. Bichette hit an RBI single and stole second.
After a Vladimir Guerrero Jr. walk, Teoscar Hernandez doubled in a run, Randal Grichuk hit an RBI single and Cavan Biggio drove in another run with a single on a fly to left that Ryan Mountcastle failed to catch. Adam Plutko replaced Harvey.
Ryu retired 10 straight until he walked Severino with two out in the fifth. Ryu retired the next seven batters.
After Plutko allowed only a walk in 2 2/3 innings, Cesar Valdez took over for Baltimore in the eighth and allowed two runs on doubles by Lourdes Gurriel Jr. and McGuire and Bichette's single.
Trent Thornton gave up Severino's third homer of the season with one out in the eighth and hit Pat Valaika with a pitch. Mancini hit his 14th homer this season with two out.
McGuire had an RBI single against Dillon Tate in the ninth.
The Blue Jays reinstated Hernandez from the paternity list Sunday and optioned Jared Hoying to Triple-A Buffalo.
