Jacob Stallings hit a walk-off two-run homer in the ninth inning Saturday after the Pittsburgh Pirates erased two four-run deficits in an 8-6 win over the visiting San Francisco Giants.
Tied at 6-6 and with Bryan Reynolds at third, Stallings hit his third homer, to left, off Jake McGee (1-1).
Stallings earlier hit a two-run double. Kevin Newman and Ka'ai Tom each added an RBI single.
Pittsburgh starter Tyler Anderson allowed six hits and a season-high four runs in five innings, with two walks and seven strikeouts.
Richard Rodriguez (2-0) pitched a scoreless top of the ninth.
Darin Ruf, Brandon Crawford and Mike Tauchman homered and Mauricio Dubon hit an RBI single for the Giants.
San Francisco starter Johnny Cueto pitched 4 1/3 innings, giving up two runs and eight hits, with no walks and two strikeouts.
With one out in the first, Ruf homered to center, his fifth, for a 1-0 Giants lead. An out later, Wilmer Flores skied the ball and reached when Stallings, the catcher, lost track of it. Crawford followed with his ninth homer, to right, to push it to 3-0.
The Giants added another in the third. Ruf led off with a double and later came home on Dubon's single.
Pittsburgh cut the deficit in half in the fifth. Will Craig led off with a single, went to third Ben Gamel's double and scored on Erik Gonzalez's groundout. Tom singled to drive in Gamel and make it 4-2.
San Francisco immediately regained the four-run lead. Curt Casali drew a one-out walk in the sixth. Tauchman homered to right, his second, making it 6-2.
In the seventh, Gonzalez drew a one-out walk against Sam Selman, who then hit pinch-hitter Troy Stokes Jr. An out later, Newman hit an RBI flare off Camilo Doval. Reynolds was hit by a pitch to load the bases, and Stokes scored on a wild pitch to make it 6-4. Stallings' double forged a 6-6 tie.
Pirates manager Derek Shelton got ejected in the eighth, apparently for arguing balls and strikes.
