Yasmani Grandal had three hits, including a two-run home run that gave visiting Milwaukee the lead for good, as the Brewers beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-5 on Friday night.

Milwaukee second baseman Hernan Perez also hit a two-run homer to erase an early one-run deficit in the opener of the three-game series.

Brewers starter Corbin Burnes gave up three homers for the third straight game and departed after 4 1/3 innings, having surrendered five runs on nine hits and two walks to go with three strikeouts. He left with the Brewers leading 6-5 but did not pitch far enough into the game to qualify for the win.

Corey Seager, Cody Bellinger and Joc Pederson homered for the Dodgers, who have lost five in a row following a five-game winning streak.

Dodgers starter Julio Urias (0-1) went five innings, giving up six runs (five earned) and six hits to go with a walk and four strikeouts.

Urias yielded two runs before getting three outs in the first, but the left-hander settled in and retired eight straight batters before his throwing error allowed Mike Moustakas to reach base with one out in the fourth. Perez then homered to left center to move the Brewers back in front 4-3.

Pederson provided the third lead change in two innings when he lifted a home run to right-center in the bottom of the fourth for a 5-4 Dodgers lead.

Grandal, who played the past four seasons in Los Angeles, hit his two-run homer in the fifth to move the Brewers back ahead 6-5.

Jesus Aguilar doubled in the seventh to score Christian Yelich from first and stretch the lead to 7-5. Yelich scored his third run of the game in the ninth on a sacrifice fly by Aguilar to make it 8-5.

Brewers All-Star reliever Josh Hader needed 32 pitches to get through the eighth, striking out Justin Turner with the bases loaded to end the inning. Hader came back for the ninth and retired Bellinger on a fly out before Alex Wilson got the final two outs.

The Dodgers homered in their 27th straight home game when Seager went opposite field in the first to cut the deficit to 2-1.

With Seager aboard in the third, Bellinger hit his National League-leading eighth home run of the season to move the Dodgers ahead 3-2.
