Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hit a two-run single for the go-ahead runs in the seventh inning when the visiting Toronto Blue Jays scored four unearned runs to defeat the Baltimore Orioles 6-4 on Tuesday night.

The loss gives the Orioles (43-108) a club record for losses in a season since the team moved to Baltimore in 1954. The Blue Jays (69-82), who have taken the first two games of the three-game series, have four straight wins on the road for the first time this season.

The Blue Jays loaded the bases with two out in the seventh on two singles and a walk. Paul Fry replaced Orioles starter Dylan Bundy (8-15). The two tying runs scored on third baseman Steve Wilkerson's throwing error on a grounder by pinch hitter Teoscar Hernandez, who reached second. Two more runs scored when Gurriel grounded a single to center.

Jake Petricka (3-1), who replaced starter Aaron Sanchez, pitched around a single in the bottom of the fifth and used three strikeouts to work around a hit batsman in the bottom of the sixth to earn the win.

Ken Giles pitched a perfect ninth to earn his 23rd save of the season.

Sanchez allowed four runs (two earned), four hits and three walks in four innings. He hit a batter and had one strikeout.

Bundy allowed five runs (two earned), seven hits and one walk while striking out six in 6 2/3 innings.

Cedric Mullins hit his fourth homer of the season for the Orioles to lead off the first.

Trey Mancini led off the bottom of the fourth with a triple and Chris Davis was hit by a pitch. Breyvic Valera hit a sacrifice fly to center.

DJ Stewart singled to right, his first career major-league hit, and throwing errors by right fielder Billy McKinney and Sanchez on the hit allowed Davis and Stewart to score.

Aledmys Diaz and Dwight Smith Jr. hit back-to-back doubles for Toronto in the top of the fifth.

The Blue Jays scored again in the sixth. McKinney ended a 0-for-20 drought with a leadoff single. Gurriel sacrificed him to second, he took third on Bundy's wild pitch and scored on Justin Smoak's groundout, cutting the lead to 4-2.

Toronto's Jose Fernandez pitched a perfect bottom of the seventh and Tyler Clippard pitched around a single in the eighth.
