San Francisco third baseman Evan Longoria hit his first home run since returning from the disabled list last week and Austin Slater had two hits, including a two-run single in a five-run seventh inning, as the Giants won their fourth straight with an 8-1 victory over the host Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field on Thursday.

Left-hander Madison Bumgarner (4-4) hit a tie-breaking RBI single in the fifth inning and the Giants pulled away late to win their fifth straight in the season series and close to within four games of the Diamondbacks in the NL West.

David Peralta had four hits, Ketel Marte had two and Eduardo Escobar hit a sacrifice fly for Arizona, which fell out of a tie for first place in the division when the Los Angeles Dodgers beat Milwaukee. The Giants are five back in the division.

Bumgarner pitched in and out of trouble in his five innings, giving up seven hits and one run with five strikeouts and three walks. The Diamondbacks loaded the bases in each of the first two innings but scored only one run, leaving nine runners on base in the first five innings.

Arizona right-hander Zack Greinke (12-6) had a seven-game winning streak broken despite giving up only four hits and two runs in six innings. He had five strikeouts and a walk. He had won nine of his last 10 decisions, with a 1.53 ERA in his previous eight starts.

Longoria hit a 69 mph curve ball from Greinke for his 11th homer in the first inning, extending his hitting streak to five games. He is 8-for-29 with two RBIs since returning from the disabled list.

Escobar tied the game at 1 with a sacrifice fly in the second inning after Marte walked and Greinke and Peralta singled to load the bases.

Slater doubled with one out in the fifth inning and scored on Bumgarner's two-out single for a 2-1 lead. Slater was 5-for-7 with two doubles and an RBI when the Giants swept a three-game series at Chase Field from June 29-July 1.

Jake Diekman, making his first appearance for Arizona since being acquired from Texas on Wednesday, walked two, committed a throwing error on a pickoff play and threw a wild pitch to set up pinch-hitter Hunter Pence's sacrifice fly for a 3-1 lead in the seventh inning.

The Giants had six hits off two Arizona relievers in the eighth inning, as pinch-hitter Alen Hanson and Steven Duggar had RBI singles, Slater drove in his two, and another run scored on an outfield error.
