Jurickson Profar drove in four runs, Rougned Odor hit a two-run homer and walked five times, and Elvis Andrus had three hits and drove in three runs as the Texas Rangers whipped the Baltimore Orioles 17-8 in Arlington, Texas, on Thursday night.

The Rangers blew the game open with a seven-run second inning, capped by a two-run double by Isiah Kiner-Falefa.

Texas tagged Orioles starter Andrew Cashner (3-10) with 10 runs on seven hits and three walks in 1 2/3 innings, the most runs he has allowed in a start in his nine-year career.

Cashner's ERA went from 4.33 to 5.05 as everyone in the Rangers' starting lineup scored a run by the time the fourth inning ended. By game's end, everyone had at least one hit and only two players didn't have an RBI.

The beneficiary of the offensive onslaught was Rangers starter Yovani Gallardo (6-1), who began the night with an ERA of 6.26, although his ERA since joining the Rangers in mid-June and making seven starts was just over 5.00.

Gallardo gave up a run in the top of the first inning on a groundout by Mark Trumbo, then watched the Rangers pile up a 13-1 lead before Trumbo hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning, his 13th of the season.

Gallardo left in the sixth after giving up a two-run homer to Caleb Joseph, his third. In 5 1/3 innings, Gallardo gave up five runs on nine hits and two walks. He struck out four.

Right-hander Eddie Butler worked the final 3 2/3 innings for his first career save. He gave up three runs on five hits with two strikeouts.

Joey Gallo had three hits, including his 27th home run, and Profar, Kiner-Falefa, Adrian Beltre, Shin-Soo Choo and Willie Calhoun each had two of the Rangers' 18 hits. Texas scored in every inning except the fifth.

With two outs in the bottom of the eighth, Orioles manager Buck Showalter brought in Danny Valencia, an infielder, to pitch. He struck out Gallo to end the inning.

The Rangers have now won five of their last six games, including a three-game sweep of the AL West-leading Astros in Houston.

Trey Mancini hit his 15th home run of the season in the ninth inning for Baltimore, which had 14 hits.
