White Sox 3, Giants 2 (10): Gordon Beckham delivered a two-out RBI single in the top of the 10th inning as Chicago handed San Francisco its fifth consecutive loss.

After Jordan Danks was cut down at the plate by second baseman Matt Duffy on a grounder by Alejandro De Aza for the second out of the 10th, Beckham laced a single to left against Santiago Casilla (1-2). Zach Putnam (4-2) earned the victory by recording the final out of the ninth and working around a two-out single in the 10th.

The White Sox led 2-0 before Pablo Sandoval, Michael Morse and Travis Ishikawa led off the ninth with singles against Jake Petricka. After one run scored when second baseman Beckham's diving stop of Joe Panik's grounder turned into a double play, Brandon Crawford delivered a game-tying RBI single to right.

Chris Sale matched a season high with 12 strikeouts while allowing four hits in 117 pitches over eight innings and Adam Dunn belted a two-run homer for Chicago. The Giants fell six games behind Los Angeles in the National League West, but remained one-half game behind St. Louis for the second wild card spot.

Dunn belted an 0-1 offering out to left-center - the second home run allowed by Ryan Vogelsong in 13 starts at AT&T Park this season - with two out in the first. Vogelsong allowed two runs and three hits - none after the second inning - in seven frames to extended his home winless streak to seven starts.
