Mets 7, Marlins 6: Pinch hitter Jordany Valdespin belted a three-run homer and John Buck recorded three hits and two RBIs as visiting New York rallied to snap a six-game losing streak.

Valdespin, who led the majors with five pinch-hit homers as a rookie last season, notched his first of 2013 to give the Mets a 5-4 lead in the sixth. Buck’s two-run double extended the lead to 7-4 in the seventh while captain David Wright scored three times and had three hits, including a solo homer, for New York.

Mets starter Dillon Gee (2-4) allowed nine hits and four runs over five innings to get the victory and Bobby Parnell pitched a perfect ninth for his third save. Mets left fielder Lucas Duda let Justin Ruggiano’s single get by him, allowing two runners to score as Miami closed within 7-6 in the seventh off Scott Atchison.

Chris Valaika’s two-run double highlighted a three-run first inning for the Marlins, who saw their three-game win streak end. Wright led off the fourth with a solo blast to left field, but Juan Pierre’s RBI single gave Miami a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the frame.

Marlins starter Wade LeBlanc was one out from finishing six innings with a three-run lead before Marlon Byrd looped an RBI single to right field. Ike Davis followed with a single to end LeBlanc’s day and Valdespin lined 2-2 pitch from losing pitcher A.J. Ramos (0-1) over the right-field fence for his second homer and a 5-4 lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Wright is 8-for-13 with a pair of homers in his career against LeBlanc, who allowed four runs and eight hits over 5 2/3 innings to remain winless. … Miami starts its longest road trip of the season in Philadelphia on Friday. The Marlins also face San Diego and the Los Angeles Dodgers on the 11-day, 10-game journey. … Valdespin’s sixth pinch-hit homer already ties him for second in club history.
