Rockies 5, Padres 3: Jamie Moyer became the oldest pitcher to win a major league game when he tossed seven solid innings versus visiting San Diego.
Moyer (1-2), who is 49 years and 150 days old, rebounded from two sub-par outings to allow just two runs on six hits. Jack Quinn, who was also 49, previously held the record when he recorded his last victory on Sept. 13, 1932.
Dexter Fowler belted a two-run homer in the second inning and Wilin Rosario and Michael Cuddyer added RBI doubles for the Rockies, who snapped a five-game losing skid to the Padres.
Troy Tulowitzki endured his fourth two-error game of his career - with the second allowing Jesus Guzman to score in the seventh inning. Tulowitzki has six errors this season.
Chris Denorfia matched a career high with four hits for the Padres.
After Cuddyer's run-scoring double and Rosario's sacrifice fly extended Colorado's cushion, Rafael Betancourt worked around Nick Hundley's solo homer in the ninth inning for his third save.
Anthony Bass (0-2) permitted three runs on four hits and struck out a career-high seven in five innings.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Rockies recalled right-hander Edgmer Escalona from Triple-A Colorado Springs prior to the game. The team optioned right-hander Tyler Chatwood to the Sky Sox. .. San Diego right-hander Casey Kelly's MRI did not reveal any tearing of a ligament in his elbow. The Padres are sending him to Peoria for a two-week rehabilitation session.
