White Sox 4, Mariners 2:
Chris Sale tossed his first career complete game and Alex Rios recorded two RBIs as host Chicago won for the 10th time in 11 games.

Gordon Beckham drove in the go-ahead run with a fourth-inning single as the White Sox defeated Seattle for the 21st time in the last 25 meetings.

Sale (7-2), who was named American League Pitcher of the Month for May earlier in the day, continued his fine pitching by limiting Seattle to five hits. He struck out eight and walked two in winning his fourth consecutive start.

Jesus Montero singled to start the Seattle ninth and Sale responded by inducing Justin Smoak to hit into a double play. Dustin Ackley slapped a two-out single to left before Sale struck out Miguel Olivo.

Seattle’s offense against the 23-year-old Sale was provided by Olivo, who crushed a 448-foot, two-run homer to center in the second inning.

Chicago tallied its first run in the bottom of the inning when Brent Lillibridge drew a bases-loaded walk from Kevin Millwood (3-5). The White Sox tied the contest in the third on a run-scoring single to center by Rios.

Beckham drove in his eighth run of the series with a sharply-hit single to left in the fourth and another run crossed on an infield single by Rios.

Millwood allowed four runs and seven hits in four innings. He walked five and struck out four.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Rios is 9-for-22 over the last five games. … Ackley’s ninth-inning single was just his sixth hit in 35 career at-bats against the White Sox. … Beckham went 6-for-15 with three homers in the series. … Mariners 3B Kyle Seager was given the day off after going 0-for-6 with four strikeouts in Saturday’s 12-inning loss.
