Marlins 9, Cubs 5: Carlos Lee hit his 17th career grand slam and Omar Infante added a two-run shot and three RBIs as visiting Miami won its sixth straight game over Chicago.

Hanley Ramirez homered and doubled for the Marlins and Anibal Sanchez (5-6) won for only the third time in his last 13 starts. The right-hander allowed two runs (one earned), scattered nine hits and struck out seven, and also singled and scored on Lee’s homer.

Chicago starter Travis Wood (4-4) had his four-game winning streak snapped. He allowed eight runs and eight hits in 4 2/3 innings.

Jeff Baker hit a solo homer and Luis Valbuena added a two-run double for the Cubs, who had their season high-tying four-game winning streak snapped and lost for only the fifth time in their last 17 contests.

Lee connected with no outs in the fifth inning to put Miami ahead 7-0. He has 24 homers and 61 RBIs in 77 career games at Wrigley Field.

Infante’s two-run homer in the third inning followed Austin Kearns’ two-out single, which drove in Lee. Infante, who finished with three hits, added a two-out single in the fifth to plate Ramirez and make it 8-0.

Trailing 9-2, the Cubs scored three runs in the eighth inning and had runners on first and second with one out before Anthony Rizzo grounded into his second double play of the game.

Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a walk to extend his hitting streak against Chicago to 11 games. He is 19-for-47 (.404) with five homers and 11 RBIs during that span.
