Brandon Inge hit a walk-off grand slam as host Oakland rallied in the bottom of the ninth for its fifth win in the last six games.

Michael Taylor led off the bottom of the ninth with a double down the right field line and came around to tie the game on Cliff Pennington’s RBI single. Toronto reliever Francisco Cordero intentionally walked two batters to load the bases for Inge, who hit the sixth grand slam of his career.

Toronto, which tied for the American League lead in blown saves (25) last season, blew its seventh save of 2012 – most in the AL – after taking a 3-2 lead into the bottom of the ninth.

Jarrod Parker went seven strong innings, allowing two runs on four hits but walked five while striking out three. Grant Balfour (1-1) earned the win.

Oakland tied the game 2-2 in the sixth on a two-run home run off the bat of Josh Reddick.

Kelly Johnson did all the damage for Toronto. He put the Blue Jays ahead with a RBI single in the top of the ninth and opened scoring with a two-run blast to left field in the third inning.

Ricky Romero gave up two runs on five hits but walked five to go along with seven strikeouts. Cordero (1-2) was handed the loss and his third blown save of the season.

: A’s CF Yoenis Cespedes was scratched after suffering an apparent wrist injury in batting practice. … Oakland starter Brandon McCarthy was supposed to start in this series but will rest due to shoulder soreness. … Romero’s five walks were a season high.
