Despite some late heroics, Seattle lost its 12th straight Thursday as host Toronto completed a three-game sweep with a 7-5 win.

The Mariners, who matched their longest losing streak in nearly three years, tied the game 5-5 on Miguel Olivo’s grand slam in the eighth. But with two outs in the bottom half, Mike McCoy doubled, Yunel Escobar walked and Rajai Davis doubled over Ichiro Suzuki’s head in right field, scoring two.

MLB home run leader Jose Bautista had a run-scoring double and sacrifice fly, giving him 68 RBIs. Toronto won for the eighth time in 10 games, moving over .500, and has averaged more than seven runs in that span. Jon Rauch (4-3) got the final five outs for the win.

Suzuki went 3-for-4 with a walk, a run scored and an RBI to lead the Mariners, who have been outscored 65-27 in their losing streak.
