Greg Dobbs had three hits and knocked in two runs as the visiting Florida Marlins defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-1 on Saturday night.

Wes Helms produced a key pinch-hit, two-run double in the sixth inning with two outs to give the Marlins a 5-1 lead. Chris Coghlan added three hits and Gaby Sanchez had two doubles and scored twice for Florida, which has won six of eight.

Five Marlins pitchers combined to allow just six hits. Brian Sanches, who made his first career start after 166 relief appearances, went three innings and gave up one run on three hits.

Edward Mujica (5-2) allowed one hit the next two innings and was awarded the victory. He struck out four.

Florida forced Dodgers starter Hiroki Kuroda to throw 27 pitches in the first inning and scored twice. Logan Morrison knocked in one with a sacrifice fly and Dobbs singled home Sanchez, who had doubled with two outs.

Kuroda (5-5) gave up 10 hits and five runs in 5 1/3 innings.

Matt Kemp had an RBI single to get the Dodgers within 2-1 in the third, but the Marlins came right back in the fourth with a two-out RBI single by Omar Infante.
