Brian McCann and Dan Uggla each slugged three-run homers to lead the Atlanta Braves to a 7-1 win over the Florida Marlins on Tuesday.

The victory allowed the Braves to retain their 4 1/2-game lead on St. Louis in the wild-card race. The Cardinals defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-4.

McCann hit his first home run since Sept. 1 when he connected in the fifth inning against loser Brad Hand (1-7). Uggla's homer run, his 34th, came an inning later against reliever Brian Sanches.

Peter Moylan (2-1) earned the victory, his first since April 4. Moylan, who spent most of the season on the disabled list because of back surgery, pitched one-third of an inning in relief of starter Mike Minor, who allowed a lone run over 5 2/3 frames.
