The victory gave the Braves a three-game series sweep and extended the Marlins’ losing streak to eight straight contests.

Jurrjens (8-2) allowed two runs over seven innings and looped a seeing-eye hit over second baseman Omar Infante to drive in what proved to be the winning run.

Jurrjens allowed six hits - one of them a solo homer by Mike Stanton - and struck out two.

Jonny Venters struck out two in the ninth inning to secure his second save of the season.

Chris Volstad (2-6) allowed all three runs on six hits and struck out seven to suffer his fifth straight loss.
