Jason Kubel hit a two-run double in the seventh inning and Carl Pavano pitched seven strong innings, leading the Minnesota Twins to a 4-3 win over the Cleveland Indians on Sunday.

The host Twins (9-12) have won a season-high three games in a row, while the Indians (13-8) have lost three straight games, also a season high.

Kubel's double off Rafael Perez (2-1) erased a 3-2 deficit. Alexi Casilla singled to start the seventh. With Perez pitching, second baseman Orlando Cabrera booted Denard Span's ground ball and Kubel hit a drive off the wall in right-center after both were sacrificed up a base.

Pavano (2-2) allowed three runs - all coming in the fourth - and six hits. Matt Capps pitched the ninth for his fourth save.

Minnesota's Justin Morneau had a two-run double in the third to open the scoring, but Cleveland went ahead in the fourth, 3-2, on Cabrera's RBI double and Michael Brantley's two-run double. Brantley's hit was ruled a home run, but was reversed after the umpires reviewed the replay and ruled the ball hit the top of the wall in right field.

Indians starter Carlos Carrasco was removed after the third inning with a sore right elbow and was replaced by Jeanmar Gomez.
