Boston hit three more home runs, and Daniel Bard extended his scoreless string to 20 2/3 innings spanning 19 appearances as the Red Sox rallied past the host Tampa Bay Rays 9-5 on Saturday afternoon.

Tampa Bay jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, on RBI singles from Casey Kotchman, Matt Joyce and B.J. Upton.

But Boston got a two-run homer from Josh Reddick in the second and took the lead for good with three more in the third, highlighted by David Ortiz's two-run double. J.D. Drew followed with an RBI double.

Jacoby Ellsbury homered in the fourth to give Boston a 6-3 advantage, and Dustin Pedroia added a solo shot in the seventh. It was the 10th home run for the Red Sox in their last three games.

John Lackey (7-8) allowed 10 hits and four runs in the 5 2/3 innings. Bard pitched 1 1/3 innings before giving way to Jonathan Papelbon in the ninth. Bard has not allowed a run since May 23 against Cleveland.

Joyce finished with three hits, including a solo homer. James Shields (8-8) allowed six runs on six hits in six innings. He struck out eight in losing his fourth straight decision.
