Roy Halladay pitched 7 2/3 serviceable innings and added a two-run single as the Philadelphia Phillies rolled to an 8-4 victory over the New York Mets.
Ryan Howard and Chase Utley homered while Carlos Ruiz went 3-for-3 with an RBI for the Phillies, who have won 12 of their last 15 games.
Entering with three wins and a 1.88 ERA in three previous meetings with the Mets this season, Halladay (18-10) was staked to an early 2-0 lead but fell behind as Carlos Beltran capped a three-run third for New York with a two-run homer.
Howard quickly evened the game by leading off the fourth with his 29th blast of the year and third in as many games. Later in the frame, Halladay singled up the middle with the bases loaded, plating two and giving Philadelphia a 5-3 advantage. Shane Victorino followed with an RBI single to cap the four-run rally.
Utley swatted a solo shot in the seventh and Wilson Valdez was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded later in the inning to force in a run and increase the lead to 8-3. The Phillies scored a total of seven runs in their first six games at Citi Field in 2010.
Halladay, who tossed at least seven innings for the 10th consecutive start, allowed four runs and eight hits. He struck out five without a walk en route to joining Colorado's Ubaldo Jimenez and St. Louis' Adam Wainwright as the National League's only 18-game winners.
Jenrry Mejia (0-4) lasted four frames for the Mets, surrendering six runs and nine hits.
Jose Reyes - who had missed 13 games with an oblique injury - and David Wright each had an RBI while Josh Thole collected three hits for New York, which had won three of four.
