Reid Brignac hit a go-ahead double in the top of the ninth inning and Carl Crawford added a grand slam as the Tampa Bay Rays rallied for the second straight night, beating the Toronto Blue Jays 7-3 Wednesday.
Tampa scored six times in the ninth to obliterate a one-run deficit. The Rays took two out of three from the Jays at the Rogers Centre to improve to 21-6 away from St. Petersburg.
The inning began with singles from Sean Rodriguez and Ben Zobrist. Dioner Navarro brought home a run with a bunt single and Brignac followed with the decisive run-scoring double.
Two batters later, Crawford belted a grand slam to right field for his fifth home run of the season en route to five RBIs.
David Price (8-2) earned the win, allowing a pair of unearned runs over eight strong innings.
Shaun Marcum (5-2) was saddled with the loss, his first since Apr. 16. He allowed five runs on 10 hits in 8 1/3 innings, walking none and striking out two.
Jose Bautista, John Buck and Lyle Overbay drove in runs for Toronto in front of a sparse gathering of 13,157 fans.
