Delmon Young’s single in the top of the 11th inning propelled the Minnesota Twins to a 5-4 victory over the Oakland Athletics on Friday night.

Justin Morneau opened the inning with a double, and following a strikeout, Young singled to right off Andrew Bailey (0-2) to bring in Morneau for the winning run.

The A’s went down quietly in the bottom half as Jon Rauch worked around a two-out single to record his 14th save.

Young finished with two hits and a pair of RBIs and Morneau homered and drove in a two runs to snap a three-game losing streak

Matt Guerrier (1-1) pitched two scoreless innings to earn the win in relief of starter Scott Baker, who allowed four runs in 7 1/3 innings.

Oakland trailed 4-1, but got two back on Kevin Kouzmanoff’s homer in the seventh. The A's then tied things up in the eighth when Rajai Davis belted a solo shot to left.

A’s starter Dallas Braden gave up four runs on six hits in 6 1/3 innings.
