Francisco Liriano tossed seven shutout innings and the Minnesota Twins snapped Cleveland's six-game winning streak with a 6-0 victory over the Indians on Wednesday.

Delmon Young had three hits and drove in three runs and J.J. Hardy had a pair of RBIs to carry the Twins’ offense.

Liriano (8-7) allowed six hits, struck out eight and walked four. The left-hander, who induced three double-play balls, has won all three starts against the Indians this season, surrendering only three runs in 22 innings.

The Twins used a four-run third inning to take the early lead. Young's RBI double and Michael Cuddyer's run-scoring double gave Minnesota a 2-0 edge. Hardy added a two-run single later in the inning.

Cleveland starter Jake Westbrook (6-6) gave up four runs and six hits in six innings. He walked five and struck out one.

The loss ended Cleveland's longest winning streak of the season, all since the All-Star break, and came as the Indians were shutout for the eighth time, which is tops in the American League.

Minnesota was without manager Ron Gardenhire, who was dealing with a family matter.
