Kevin Kouzmanoff delivered a game-winning single with two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift the Oakland Athletics to a 5-4 victory over the visiting Boston Red Sox on Tuesday night.

Kouzmanoff singled to right field off reliever Michael Bowden to score Daric Barton from second base and culminate a comeback from a 4-0 deficit.

Andrew Bailey (1-3) recorded the victory with two scoreless innings of relief as Oakland won for the sixth time in seven games. Ramon Ramirez (0-3) took the loss.

Boston jumped to an early 4-0 lead against Oakland’s Dallas Braden, who was activated from the disabled list prior to the game.

Kevin Youkilis has a run-scoring double in the first inning, while Mario Scutaro and Darnell McDonald had RBI-doubles in the second to build the lead.

Oakland responded with a four-run third, when Jack Cust doubled in the first two runs, while the other two scored on a passed ball and a Kouzmanoff sacrifice fly.

Braden was returning from an elbow injury and gave up four runs and 10 hits in 4 2/3 innings. Boston starter Tim Wakefield allowed four runs – three earned – and three hits in six innings.
