Clay Buchholz and two relievers combined on a four-hit shutout to lift the Boston Red Sox to 2-0 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers at Fenway Park on Sunday night.

Buchholz (10-4) tied for the American League lead in victories. He allowed three hits in 6 2/3 innings.

Daniel Bard got the final out of the seventh inning with two men on base and Jonathan Papelbon pitched a perfect ninth for his 16th save.

Boston has won six straight and wrapped up its homestand with an 8-1 mark to move into a tie for second place in the AL East with the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Red Sox opened the scoring in the first on an infield hit by Kevin Youkilis that scored Dustin Pedroia (three hits) from third base.

They made it 2-0 in the third when David Ortiz’s sacrifice fly scored Marco Scutaro, who led off the inning with a single.

Hiroki Kuroda (6-5) pitched well for the Dodgers, allowing six hits and two runs in seven innings while striking out nine.
