Giants 8, Twins 1: Michael Morse recorded three doubles and four RBIs while Madison Bumgarner tossed seven strong innings as San Francisco completed a three-game sweep of visiting Minnesota.

Hunter Pence went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and scored three runs for the Giants, who matched a team record with their seventh consecutive interleague win. Bumgarner (6-3) earned his fourth straight win, registering 10 strikeouts and yielding one run on three hits without a walk.

Ricky Nolasco (2-5) was tagged for seven runs and nine hits over 4 2/3 innings for Minnesota, which was 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position and went 2-for-26 in those situations during its five-game road trip. Danny Santana notched two of his team's four hits as Minnesota finished with 13 strikeouts.

Pence put the Giants ahead 3-1 with his solo blast in the third and Morse extended the lead when he scored on Brandon Crawford’s sacrifice fly an inning later. San Francisco drew clear with three runs in the fifth against Nolasco, who walked Bumgarner to begin the inning and allowed back-to-back singles by Gregor Blanco and Pence before Morse cleared the bases with a two-out double down the third-base line.

Blanco had a season-high three hits for the Giants, who boast the majors’ best record at 32-18. Pablo Sandoval, who entered the game with four home runs in his previous six games, singled twice in four at-bats and drove in a run in the first inning.

GAME NOTEBOOK: San Francisco improved to 24-4 when scoring first. … Twins 1B Joe Mauer struck out three times but singled in the ninth inning to extend his hitting streak against National League opponents to 18 games. … Giants RHP Yusmeiro Petit will start Monday in place of RHP Matt Cain, who is battling a strained right hamstring.
