Marlins 5, Rays 4: Donovan Solano clubbed a three-run homer and Giancarlo Stanton had two hits and scored twice as visiting Miami sent Tampa Bay to its ninth straight loss.

Tom Koehler (5-5) rebounded from a rocky first inning to last five, allowing three runs on six hits, and closer Steve Cishek left the bases loaded in a tense ninth inning for his 13th save. Casey McGehee chipped in an RBI single as the Marlins improved to 3-0 in the four-game, home-and-home Citrus Series.

Ben Zobrist hit a two-run homer and Evan Longoria added a solo shot in the first inning to give the Rays more runs than they had produced in their previous four games combined. David Price (4-5), pitching for the first time since a contentious outing at Boston on Friday, was hurt by a Longoria error before the Solano blast and gave up five runs (one earned) in 7 1/3 innings while striking out 11.

Koehler walked David DeJesus on four pitches to begin the bottom of the first and Zobrist followed with his fourth home run of the year before Longoria went deep to make it 3-1. Two singles, a wild pitch and Longoria's error allowed the Marlins to get a run across in the third before Solano slugged a first-pitch shot to left - his first of the year - to put Miami up 5-3.

Koehler induced inning-ending double plays in the fourth and fifth and Bryan Morris and Mike Dunn got the ball to Cishek, who allowed an unearned run and loaded the bases with two outs on an intentional walk to Longoria. James Loney popped out to second to cap a 0-for-9 effort with runners in scoring position for the Rays.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Baseball icon Don Zimmer, who had served as a Rays senior advisor since 2004, passed away Wednesday at the age of 83. Zimmer played for five teams and managed four others as part of a 66-year professional career. ... Price was fined an undisclosed amount for hitting Red Sox slugger David Ortiz with a pitch Friday, according to multiple reports. ... The Marlins selected the contract of IF Justin Bour from Triple-A New Orleans to take the place of IF Derek Dietrich, who was optioned Tuesday. RH Carter Capps was transferred to the 60-day DL.
