Rangers 4, Astros 0: Adrian Beltre and rookie Rougned Odor each homered and drove in a pair of runs as visiting Texas continued its mastery of Houston.

Colby Lewis (3-2) allowed seven hits and struck out a season-high eight in 5 2/3 scoreless innings as the Rangers notched their major league-leading ninth shutout of the season. Beltre swatted a two-run shot in the third while Odor delivered an RBI single in the fourth and his first career homer in the sixth to give Texas its 10th consecutive win in Houston and improve the Rangers to 14-1 in their last 15 meetings with the Astros.

Brad Peacock (0-4), making his fifth start after beginning the year in the bullpen, was charged with all four runs and took the loss despite striking out a career-high 11 in six innings. Jose Altuve was 3-for-5 while Matt Dominguez and rookie George Springer added two hits apiece for the Astros, who suffered their eighth defeat in 10 games.

Beltre hit his third homer of the season - and third in seven games - with two outs in the third before Odor collected his first career RBI in his fifth major-league game with a run-scoring single in the fourth that plated Mitch Moreland. Odor collected another two-out hit in the sixth, homering to right to extend the lead to 4-0.

Houston threatened in the eighth against reliever Nick Martinez, putting runners on the corners with one out on singles by Dominguez and Springer. Neal Cotts came on and averted further damage by striking out Chris Carter and pinch hitter Jesus Guzman.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Rangers SS Elvis Andrus has hit safely in nine straight games, while Dominguez extended his hitting streak to seven games with his fourth straight multi-hit performance. ... Peacock's previous career high for strikeouts was 10 against Minnesota in August 2013. ... Beltre's two hits gave him 2,449 for his career, tying him with Red Schoendienst for 108th place on the all-time list.
