White Sox 2, Dodgers 1: Leury Garcia and Adam Dunn each belted solo homers and John Danks allowed two hits over 7 1/3 innings as visiting Chicago won the rubber match of the three-game series.

Danks (4-5) issued three walks while striking out five over 7 1/3 innings, and two relievers bridged the gap to Ronald Belisario, who retired the Dodgers in order in the ninth for his fifth save and second in as many nights against his former team. Garcia and Alejandro De Aza had two hits apiece for Chicago, which has won six of its last nine.

Garcia snapped a 2-for-18 slump with his first career homer to begin the third inning, and Dunn blasted his 449th career homer in the fourth off Josh Beckett (3-3), who yielded two runs on nine hits over six frames. Beckett, who became the 16th active pitcher with 2,000 innings pitched, has lost two straight starts since throwing his first career no-hitter May 25.

Dee Gordon had both Dodgers hits, including a bunt single to begin the first inning. Los Angeles, which fell to 13-19 at home, was held without another hit until Gordon delivered a one-out double off Danks in the eighth.

Gordon stole third and scored on Hanley Ramirez's fielder's choice, but Scott Downs retired Adrian Gonzalez to end the inning. Belisario, who had a total of four saves in four seasons with the Dodgers, needed just 12 pitches to seal the win in the ninth and retired all six batters he faced in the series.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Chicago challenged a safe call at third base in the fourth inning, when umpire Gary Cederstrom ruled that Gonzalez beat the tag. The inning ended after the play was overturned by video review. ... Danks walked Dodgers CF Andy Van Slyke once and hit him with a pitch twice. ... Chicago C Tyler Flowers went 0-for-4 with four strikeouts.
