Braves 7, Rockies 0: Evan Gattis homered twice while Justin Upton and Chris Johnson also went deep as host Atlanta blanked Colorado.

Gattis hit a solo homer in the second and added a two-run blast in the fourth as the Braves won for the sixth time in eight games. Upton delivered a two-run homer in the fifth and Johnson launched one of his own in the eighth as Atlanta took two of three from the Rockies.

Julio Teheran (4-3) allowed four singles over six strong innings and has tossed 15 scoreless frames over his past two appearances. The right-hander struck out seven and walked one while lowering his ERA to 1.77.

Gattis hit a one-out homer to center in the second inning off Franklin Morales (3-4), who allowed five runs and five hits in 4 2/3 innings. Upton drew a one-out walk in the fourth before Gattis deposited a pitch over the left-field wall to make it 3-0.

Freddie Freeman drew a two-out walk in the fifth and Upton followed with his homer to end Morales’ afternoon. Freeman singled in the eighth and scored on Johnson’s blast as Atlanta sent the Rockies to their seventh loss in 11 games.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Rockies SS Troy Tulowitzki departed with an apparent injury after batting in the eighth inning. … Braves RHP Anthony Varvaro needed only 13 pitches to record two perfect innings of relief and LHP Luis Avilan followed suit with a nine-pitch ninth. … Colorado LF Carlos Gonzalez (finger) went 0-for-4 in his return from a three-game absence.
