Orioles 4, Indians 2: Manny Machado and Nelson Cruz belted solo homers to help host Baltimore snap a tie and salvage a split of the four-game series.

Steve Pearce went 3-for-4 with an RBI single and Jonathan Schoop delivered a run-scoring single as the Orioles won for only the second time in their last eight home games. Miguel Gonzalez (3-3) gave up two runs and four hits over six innings to improve to 3-0 lifetime against Cleveland while two relievers bridged the gap to Zach Britton, who earned his second save with a perfect ninth.

Michael Bourn had a pair of hits while Lonnie Chisenhall and Nick Swisher each drove in a run for the Indians, who lost for the second time in seven games. Trevor Bauer (1-2) lasted only 4 1/3 innings, allowing four runs on six hits while striking out eight.

The Indians pushed across a pair of runs in their first at-bat, loading the bases with no outs before Chisenhall and Swisher each delivered a sacrifice fly. Baltimore cut the deficit in half in the second when Schoop blooped a single into short right field to plate Pearce, and tied it in the third on Cruz's two-out double and Pearce's run-scoring single.

The Orioles used the long ball to go ahead as Machado led off the fifth with an opposite-field blast to right for a 3-2 edge. Cruz followed one batter later by taking a breaking ball from Bauer into the seats in left for his major league-leading 16th homer.
