Astros 5, Orioles 2: Home runs by Jason Castro and Marc Krauss accounted for Houston's offense as the visiting Astros halted the Orioles' winning streak at five.

Jarred Cosart (2-3) earned his first win since April 2 by allowing two runs and eight hits over six innings. Tony Sipp worked the seventh and eighth innings, striking out five of the six hitters he faced, and veteran Chad Qualls had no issues in the ninth in recording his second save.

Jose Altuve finished with three hits and a walk, while Krauss, Matt Dominguez and Alex Presley collected two hits apiece for Houston. Adam Jones drove in two runs for Baltimore, while Orioles starter Chris Tillman (3-2) was charged with three runs, four hits and five walks in five innings.

The Astros took a 3-0 lead just three batters into the game, as Altuve and Dexter Fowler drew walks against Tillman in advance of Castro's first-pitch blast over the center-field wall. The Orioles strung together four consecutive singles in the third inning, including Jones' two-run base hit to left, to inch within a run.

Baltimore had another shot for some offense when it put runners on second and third with one out in the fifth, but Jones struck out and Nelson Cruz flew out to end the threat. Houston extended its advantage to 5-2 in the seventh on Krauss' third homer - a line drive into the right-field seats off T.J. McFarland - en route to winning for just the second time in nine games.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Orioles LF David Lough ended the Astros' half of the third inning with a lunging, over-the-shoulder catch at the warning track with runners on second and third. ... The third-inning single by Jones marked the 500th and 501st RBIs of his career. ... On Monday, Houston begins a six-game homestand against Texas and the Chicago White Sox. Baltimore's six-game homestand continues Monday with the first of three contests against Detroit.
