Home cooking has been beneficial for the Florida Panthers, who look to extend their winning streak at BB&T Center to five games when they host the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday. The Panthers continued their victorious ways on Sunday, when they scored four times in the third period and matched a season high in goals with a 6-4 victory over Toronto. Jimmy Hayes netted his third goal in two contests as Florida improved to 6-0-1 in its last seven home contests and 5-1-1 in its last seven overall.
St. Louis at Nashville 8:00 PM ET
The St. Louis Blues attempt to even the season series at two wins apiece when they visit the Nashville Predators in the opener of their four-game road trip Tuesday. St. Louis has dropped two of the three one-goal decisions between the Central Division rivals, including a 4-3 setback in Nashville on Dec. 4. The Blues halted a four-game slide (0-3-1) with a 3-0 triumph over Colorado on Monday as Martin Brodeur extended a pair of NHL records with his 691st victory and 125th shutout.
Los Angeles at Edmonton 9:30 PM ET
The Los Angeles Kings continue their three-game road trip through Western Canada on Tuesday, when they visit the Edmonton Oilers. Los Angeles got off to a tough start on its trek as it dropped a 2-1 decision at Calgary on Monday. Tyler Toffoli scored in the final minute of the second period to halve the deficit, but the Kings went on to lose to the Flames for the second time in eight days.
Vancouver at San Jose 10:00 PM ET
After dropping a pair of decisions to two Pacific Division rivals, the San Jose Sharks look to bounce back and extend their home winning streak to nine games when they host the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday. San Jose suffered a 3-2 overtime loss to Anaheim on Dec. 22 before returning from the Christmas break with a 3-1 setback to Los Angeles on Saturday.
