Preview Roundups
December 02, 2015
Toronto at Winnipeg 7:30 PM ET
After being ignited by Garret Sparks' emotional shutout in his NHL debut, the Toronto Maple Leafs look to build off that momentum on Wednesday when they open a three-game road trip against the sputtering Winnipeg Jets. With James Reimer nursing a lower-body injury, the Maple Leafs recalled Sparks from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League and watched the 22-year-old make 24 saves in a 3-0 victory over Edmonton on Monday.
NY Rangers at NY Islanders 8:00 PM ET
The New York Rangers invade the Barclays Center for the first time in the regular season on Wednesday when they visit the Metropolitan Division-rival New York Islanders. The Rangers are paying a visit without much spring in their step, however, as they nearly squandered a big lead and came perilously close to suffering their fourth straight loss before holding on for a 4-3 victory over Carolina.
Boston at Edmonton 9:30 PM ET
The Boston Bruins hope to begin the December portion of their schedule the exact same way they ended November when they kick off a three-game road trip against the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday. Boston concluded last month with five consecutive victories, including Friday's 4-3 home triumph over the New York Rangers.
Tampa Bay at Anaheim 10:30 PM ET
The Anaheim Ducks showed glimpses of their 2014-15 form in November and look to build off that when the new month begins Wednesday with a visit from the injury-plagued Tampa Bay Lightning. The Ducks, who came within one victory of the Stanley Cup Final last season, finished 8-4-3 last month after a baffling 1-7-2 start.
