Vancouver at Washington 7:00 PM ET
The Vancouver Canucks continue their seven-game road trip with a visit to the Washington Capitals on Tuesday. Vancouver is battling the Anaheim Ducks and the Calgary Flames for the Pacific Division lead and could become the first team in the league to reach 10 road wins with a victory over the Capitals. Washington is on the outside of the playoff race in the Eastern Conference and needs to improve its 5-4-3 home record.
Nashville at Carolina 7:00 PM ET
The Nashville Predators look to pick up where they left off last month when they visit the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday. Nashville closed out a 10-3-0 month of November by sweeping a four-game homestand, concluding the stretch with a 2-1 triumph over Columbus on Saturday. Colin Wilson scored with 2:12 remaining in the third period to snap a tie and help the Predators improve to 11-3-2 in one-goal games this season.
Tampa Bay at Buffalo 7:30 PM ET
The Buffalo Sabres have been quite a pest after a dismal first 18 games, posting four victories – all against teams with winning records – over the last five contests. The Sabres may get their toughest challenge Tuesday when they host the Tampa Bay Lightning, who have won four straight games and scored 14 times in the last three. Goalie Jhonas Enroth has led Buffalo’s surge, allowing only eight goals total to win four of his last five after Sunday’s 4-3 shootout victory over Montreal.
Dallas at Toronto 7:30 PM ET
The Toronto Maple Leafs have bounced back with a vengeance following a three-game skid and go for their fourth straight home victory when they host the Dallas Stars on Tuesday. The Maple Leafs are 3-0-1 since a three-game losing streak that culminated with a 9-2 beating by visiting Nashville on Nov. 18. “Home-ice advantage is something we haven’t really developed yet," coach Randy Caryle said. "We’ve played better here as of lately, but we’re striving for excellence as everybody does at home.”
Florida at Detroit 7:30 PM ET
The Detroit Red Wings are rocketing up the Atlantic Division standings, and their potent power play and performance at Joe Louis Arena are key elements in their surge. The Red Wings vie for their fifth win in a row overall and 10th at home when they host the Florida Panthers on Tuesday. Pavel Datsyuk and Gustav Nyquist each scored a power-play goal in Sunday's 5-3 victory over Vancouver as Detroit went 2-for-4 with the man advantage to improve to 7-for-17 in its last four games.
Arizona at Calgary 9:00 PM ET
After enjoying quite the November to remember, the Calgary Flames look to continue their success into December as they host the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday. Captain Mark Giordano led the upstart Flames to nine wins in 13 games in November and claimed the NHL's First Star of the Month honors in the process.
Philadelphia at San Jose 10:00 PM ET
The San Jose Sharks will be seeking to post consecutive wins for the first time in five weeks when they host the reeling Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday. San Jose snapped a four-game overall winless drought (0-2-2) as well as a four-game skid at home with Saturday's 6-4 victory over Pacific Division rival Anaheim.
Boston at Los Angeles 10:30 PM ET
A pair of struggling teams square off Tuesday, when the Los Angeles Kings host the Boston Bruins. Los Angeles ended November with three losses in four games, including a 4-1 home setback against Chicago on Saturday. Jordan Nolan scored his first goal of the season early in the second period to halve a 2-0 deficit, but Jonathan Quick allowed Brad Richards' second of the contest less than three minutes later en route to his second straight defeat.
