Preview Roundups
November 21, 2015
Philadelphia at Ottawa 7:00 PM ET
The Ottawa Senators have moved up to second place in the Atlantic Division as they prepare to wrap up a five-game homestand on Saturday against the offensively-challenged Philadelphia Flyers. Although the Senators have dropped seven of 11 games (4-3-4) at Canadian Tire Centre this season, they have managed to earn a point in all but one of their eight contests this month.
Anaheim at Tampa Bay 7:00 PM ET
The Tampa Bay Lightning look to build off an inspiring victory when they host the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday in a matchup of teams that have not yet lived up to expectations. Valtteri Filppula’s late shorthanded goal gave the injury-plagued Lightning a 2-1 victory over the red-hot New York Rangers on Thursday for only their fourth triumph in 13 games.
NY Rangers at Florida 7:00 PM ET
The New York Rangers will try to avoid getting swept on their trip to the Sunshine State when they visit the Florida Panthers on Saturday. The Rangers saw their nine-game winning streak come to an end with a 2-1 loss at Tampa Bay on Thursday after giving up a late shorthanded tally and look to earn their seventh straight victory over the Panthers.
Arizona at Winnipeg 7:00 PM ET
Skating shorthanded is something both teams have spent plenty of time doing this season, so the power-play units should be salivating as the Arizona Coyotes wrap up a four-game road trip Saturday against the Winnipeg Jets. Winnipeg led the NHL in times shorthanded (82) while Arizona ranked third (73) entering Friday's games.
Buffalo at Dallas 8:00 PM ET
Owners of the league's best record, the high-powered Dallas Stars go for their fifth consecutive victory when they host the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday night in the second meeting between the clubs in five days. Dallas (16-4-0) is off the best 20-game start in franchise history, which includes a 3-1 victory at Buffalo on Tuesday.
