Toronto at Carolina 7:00 PM ET
The Toronto Maple Leafs look to continue their surprising surge when they visit the struggling Carolina Hurricanes on Friday. The Maple Leafs, who also visit the Boston Bruins on Saturday, have won four of their last five contests after a 5-1 victory over Colorado on Tuesday and have gained at least a point in seven of nine games in November.
Nashville at Columbus 7:00 PM ET
The Nashville Predators have all the ingredients to contend for their first Stanley Cup title: a capable offense, a shutdown defenseman in captain Shea Weber and an elite goaltender in Pekka Rinne. Nashville tries for its third straight victory when it begins a five-game road trip Friday against the Columbus Blue Jackets and Rinne is coming off arguably his best game of the season — a 38-save performance in Tuesday's 3-2 win over Anaheim for the Predators' third victory in four games.
Los Angeles at Detroit 7:30 PM ET
Los Angeles' Milan Lucic endured a rollercoaster offseason as his wife gave birth to their second child less than a month after his father committed suicide in April and prior to his first trade. Lucic persevered as the Kings started the season with three straight losses, but they are 12-3-0 since - a run corresponding with the left winger getting moved to a line with Jeff Carter and Tyler Toffoli - as Lucic tries to score in a fourth straight game when the Kings visit the Detroit Red Wings on F
Montreal at NY Islanders 7:30 PM ET
New York defenseman Travis Hamonic's skills will be on display for all the teams in Western Canada to see when the Islanders host the Montreal Canadiens on Friday. Hamonic requested a trade prior to the season — citing personal reasons — and expressed interest in going to Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg or Vancouver, putting New York general manager Garth Snow in a tough spot, although there's a lot to like about the 25-year-old Winnipeg native and his friendly contract.
Chicago at Calgary 9:00 PM ET
Two-time Norris Trophy winner Duncan Keith’s return to the lineup has coincided with a winning streak for the defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks. Keith owns three points in three victories since coming back from a knee injury that kept him out him out 10 games and looks to add to those numbers when Chicago visits the Calgary Flames on Friday.
New Jersey at Edmonton 9:00 PM ET
The New Jersey Devils hope to avoid a losing three-game road trip to Western Canada when they visit the Edmonton Oilers on Friday night. The Devils, who play at Vancouver on Sunday, had won four of five contests before recording only 20 shots on net in Tuesday’s 3-2 loss at Calgary as Cory Schneider allowed at least three goals for the first time in eight games.
