Tampa Bay at Buffalo 7:00 PM ET
The Tampa Bay Lightning will have to play without captain Steven Stamkos as they attempt to remain unbeaten on their five-game road trip Thursday against the struggling Buffalo Sabres. Stamkos, who has 20 points in 17 games, was diagnosed with a lateral meniscus tear in his right knee Wednesday and is out indefinitely after falling to the ice awkwardly in Tuesday’s 4-3 victory at Detroit.
Winnipeg at Philadelphia 7:00 PM ET
The Winnipeg Jets are soaring on the strength of a 4-0-1 run, while the Philadelphia Flyers have been grounded with losses in four of their last five games. The Flyers, who host the Jets on Thursday, haven't done themselves any favors by squandering third-period leads in two of their last three contests, with Steve Mason finding himself out of position on a late goal in regulation before the team dropped a 3-2 shootout decision to Ottawa on Tuesday.
Florida at Toronto 7:30 PM ET
Winners of back-to-back games for the first time since starting the season 2-0-0 and buoyed by a dramatic overtime victory. the Florida Panthers continue their four-game road trip with a visit to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday night. The Panthers posted a 4-3 win at Montreal on Tuesday, ending the Canadiens' perfect 10-0-0 start at home.
Nashville at Ottawa 7:30 PM ET
All but one of the Ottawa Senators' eight games thus far this month have been one-goal decisions, with five being victories. Ottawa's lone multi-goal decision in that span came against the Nashville Predators, who continue their three-game road trip Thursday in Canada's capital.
Boston at Minnesota 8:00 PM ET
Two of the league's hottest goaltenders will square off when Tuukka Rask and the Boston Bruins visit Devan Dubnyk and the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night. The Bruins have won three in a row entering the finale of a three-game road trip and will be looking to avenge a lopsided 5-0 home loss to Minnesota on Oct. 25.
San Jose at St. Louis 8:00 PM ET
The San Jose Sharks and St. Louis Blues renew acquaintances for the first time since the former eliminated the latter after six spirited games in last season's Western Conference final. The Sharks look to add more salt in the wound as they attempt to record their fourth win in the first five contests on their current six-game road trip Thursday at St. Louis.
Colorado at Dallas 8:30 PM ET
With their offense finally showing a pulse, the Colorado Avalanche will open a three-game road trip at the Dallas Stars on Thursday night in a matchup of struggling Central Division rivals. It will be the first meeting between the teams since the season opener, when Colorado held on for a 6-5 victory behind Joe Colborne's hat trick.
New Jersey at Anaheim 10:00 PM ET
The New Jersey are the hottest team in hockey but they will be without their leading scorer for at least three weeks heading into the second stop of their four-game road trip. Riding a five-game winning streak, the longest for the franchise since February 2013, New Jersey pays a visit to the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday night.
Arizona at Vancouver 10:00 PM ET
The Arizona Coyotes attempt to halt a three-game slide when they conclude their set of back-to-back road games Thursday against the Vancouver Canucks. Arizona expected to receive a boost Wednesday as goaltender Mike Smith and center Martin Hanzal returned from lengthy absences because of injuries, but it again was unable to muster any offense as it dropped a 2-1 decision at Calgary in overtime.
Edmonton at Los Angeles 10:30 PM ET
Two Pacific Division rivals desperately in need of a victory face off Thursday as the Edmonton Oilers continue their three-game road trip against the Los Angeles Kings. Edmonton was riding high in the Pacific but has come back down to the ground thanks to a losing streak that reached four games Tuesday with a 4-1 setback in the opener of its trek at Anaheim, which pulled into a tie with the Oilers atop the division.
