Columbus at Philadelphia 7:00 PM ET
The Philadelphia Flyers look to extend their home winning streak to six games when they welcome the struggling Columbus Blue Jackets to Wells Fargo Center on Friday. Philadelphia, which has been idle since Saturday, has earned at least one point in seven straight in the City of Brotherly Love since losing its home opener against New Jersey.
New Jersey at Washington 7:00 PM ET
The Washington Capitals look to extend their winning streak to four games when they host the Metropolitan Division-rival New Jersey Devils on Friday. Captain Alex Ovechkin and Marcus Johansson continued their respective torrid stretches with a pair of goals apiece in Washington's 4-2 victory over Columbus on Tuesday.
Pittsburgh at Toronto 7:30 PM ET
After seeing their impressive seven-game winning streak end with a thud, the Pittsburgh Penguins look to dust themselves off when they conclude a five-game road trip against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday. The Penguins were unable to avenge their postseason ouster at the hands of the New York Rangers and were humbled 5-0 at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday.
Chicago at Detroit 7:30 PM ET
The Detroit Red Wings continue their four-game homestand Friday, when they host the Original Six-rival Chicago Blackhawks. Detroit has earned three points over the first two games of the stretch at Joe Louis Arena, posting a 4-2 triumph over New Jersey last Friday before dropping a 4-3 decision to Tampa Bay in a shootout two days later. The Red Wings, who are riding a six-game point streak (4-0-2) at home, hope to have Pavel Datsyuk back from a two-game absence due to a groin injury.
NY Islanders at Florida 7:30 PM ET
The New York Islanders certainly have righted the ship after entering the season with questions about their defense. New York has recorded shutouts in each of its last two games and vies for its fifth consecutive win when it visits the Florida Panthers on Friday.
Arizona at Vancouver 10:00 PM ET
The Vancouver Canucks attempt to post their third straight victory Friday as they wrap up their brief two-game homestand against the Arizona Coyotes. Vancouver has needed extra time in winning its last two contests, edging Anaheim 2-1 in a shootout on Sunday in the finale of its 3-1-0 road trip before recording a 4-3 overtime victory over Ottawa two nights later.
