Detroit at Toronto 7:00 PM ET
The Detroit Red Wings will face former coach Mike Babcock for the second time this season when they visit the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday night. The up-and-down Red Wings, who spoiled the return of their longtime coach to Detroit with a 4-0 victory in their season opener, will be seeking their third consecutive victory.
Chicago at New Jersey 7:00 PM ET
After squandering a five-goal, first-period performance in their last contest, the Chicago Blackhawks look to prevent their fourth loss in five outings on Friday when they face the New Jersey Devils. Patrick Kane extended his point streak to eight games by collecting a goal and an assist for the second straight contest in Chicago's stunning 6-5 setback to St. Louis on Wednesday.
Dallas at Carolina 7:00 PM ET
The Dallas Stars own the best record in the Western Conference as they continue a four-game road trip with a visit to the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday night. The high-powered Stars rebounded from a surprising loss at lowly Toronto with a 5-2 victory at Boston on Tuesday night behind a hat trick from ex-Bruin Tyler Seguin.
NY Rangers at Colorado 9:00 PM ET
The New York Rangers attempt to extend their point streak to eight games when they visit the Colorado Avalanche on Friday. New York improved to 5-0-2 since dropping a 3-0 decision at Montreal on Oct. 15 with a 5-2 triumph over Washington on Tuesday.
Pittsburgh at Edmonton 9:00 PM ET
The Pittsburgh Penguins' road tilt versus the Edmonton Oilers on Friday night lost plenty of luster shortly after Connor McDavid suffered a broken collarbone earlier in the week. The 18-year-old McDavid will be sidelined for months as he recovers from the injury, preventing NHL fans from seeing the top overall pick of the 2015 draft face off against Penguins captain Sidney Crosby.
Columbus at Anaheim 10:00 PM ET
The Columbus Blue Jackets attempt to sweep their way through California when they visit the Anaheim Ducks on Friday. Columbus lost 10 of its first 12 games this season before beginning a three-game trek in the Golden State with a 5-2 triumph at San Jose on Tuesday.
