Edmonton at Winnipeg 3:00 PM ET
Giving up four goals a game and showing a knack for slow starts, the Winnipeg Jets – who host the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday in the Heritage Classic at Investors Group Field in the NHL’s first outdoor contest of the season – nonetheless have thrilled fans with their knack for late-game heroics. Rookie Patrik Laine sparked the Jets’ 5-4 overtime victory Wednesday over Toronto with his first career hat trick, capped by the game-winning marker with 2:20 left in extra time.
Minnesota at NY Islanders 6:00 PM ET
One-goal games have become the norm for the New York Islanders, who have participated in four straight heading into Sunday's home contest against the Minnesota Wild. New York has gone 2-2-0 during the stretch, which began with a 2-1 loss at Washington on Oct. 15 and has continued over the first three contests of its five-game homestand - all three of which have ended as 3-2 decisions, with the Islanders winning a pair.
Arizona at NY Rangers 7:00 PM ET
The Arizona Coyotes have yet to notch a victory halfway through a difficult six-game road trip and are in jeopardy of digging themselves a big hole to open the season. The Coyotes, who have allowed 18 goals in four games, will try to find their best form on both ends of the ice when they visit the New York Rangers on Sunday.
Vancouver at Anaheim 8:00 PM ET
With their season-opening string of victories now a thing of the past, the Vancouver Canucks look to keep alive their point streak when they visit the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday. Vancouver kicked off 2016-17 with four consecutive one-goal triumphs at home, including two in overtime and one in a shootout, before dropping a 4-3 decision in the bonus format Saturday at Los Angeles.
