Detroit at Montreal 7:00 PM ET
Off to the best start in the history of their storied franchise, the Montreal Canadiens look to make it six victories in as many games when they host the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday night in a matchup of Original Six rivals. The Canadiens are coming off an impressive 3-0 shutout of the New York Rangers in Thursday's home opener to improve to 5-0-0.
Nashville at Ottawa 7:00 PM ET
The Ottawa Senators have an opportunity to build some momentum when they kick off a four-game homestand against the Nashville Predators on Saturday night. The Senators have played four of their first five contests away from Canadian Tire Centre and are coming off a split of a two-game, two-night trek, steamrollng Columbus 7-3 before they were blanked in Pittsburgh 2-0.
Buffalo at Tampa Bay 7:00 PM ET
The Tampa Bay Lightning will be short-handed as they attempt to avoid a third consecutive setback when they host the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday night. Victor Hedman has already been ruled out of Saturday's game amid fears he suffered a concussion on Thursday while fellow defenseman Nikita Nesterov received a two-game suspension from the NHL on Friday for boarding in the previous night's game.
Dallas at Florida 7:00 PM ET
Although Jaromir Jagr's desire to regrow his mullet drew plenty of headlines and laughter, the future Hall of Famer is also creating news by sending the Florida Panthers off to a strong start this season. Jagr looks to continue to provide the offense at the expense of one of his former teams on Saturday as the Panthers play host to the Dallas Stars.
Toronto at Pittsburgh 7:00 PM ET
Phil Kessel didn't have long to wait to see his former team as the Toronto Maple Leafs invade Consol Energy Center on Saturday to face the five-time 30-goal scorer and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Kessel, who was shuffled to the Steel City as part of a blockbuster deal July 1, was the Maple Leafs' leading scorer in each of the past six well-scrutinized seasons.
Carolina at Washington 7:00 PM ET
There hasn't been much buzz surrounding the Carolina Hurricanes since their last playoff appearance in 2009, but perhaps rookie Brock McGinn will be the one to inject some life into the franchise. The left wing and 47th overall pick in the 2012 draft scored 55 seconds into his NHL debut Friday and hopes to continue his spectacular entrance onto the big stage as Carolina visits the Washington Capitals on Saturday.
San Jose at NY Islanders 7:30 PM ET
Not even a key injury can slow down the red-hot San Jose Sharks, who try for their fifth victory in as many games this season when they visit the New York Islanders on Saturday. San Jose prevailed 2-1 over New Jersey in a shootout Friday in its first game without second-line center Logan Couture, who fractured his right fibula in practice Thursday and is expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks.
Columbus at Chicago 8:30 PM ET
The Columbus Blue Jackets continue their quest for their first victory of 2015-16 when they visit the reigning Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday. Columbus battled back from a two-goal deficit against Toronto on Friday to forge a tie before allowing three unanswered tallies en route to a 6-3 defeat.
Edmonton at Calgary 10:00 PM ET
The Edmonton Oilers would like nothing better than to record their first victory of 2015-16 against the Calgary Flames when the provincial rivals meet at Scotiabank Saddledome on Saturday for the first installment of the Battle of Alberta this season. Edmonton began the campaign with an 0-3-0 road trip before suffering a 4-2 loss to St. Louis in its home opener on Thursday.
Boston at Arizona 10:00 PM ET
After emerging victorious for the first time this season, the Boston Bruins vie for their seventh consecutive win over the Arizona Coyotes when the teams meet at Gila River Arena on Saturday. Jimmy Hayes answered a minus-5 rating in his first three games by recording a goal and three assists on Wednesday as Boston averted its worst start in 50 years with a 6-2 rout of Colorado.
