Preview Roundups
October 12, 2015
Tampa Bay at Boston 1:00 PM ET
The Boston Bruins look to continue their home dominance of the Tampa Bay Lightning and avoid starting 0-3-0 when the Atlantic Division rivals meet Monday afternoon. The Bruins have won 10 straight regular-season contests and boast a 29-4-10 all-time record at home versus Tampa Bay but have struggled in losses to Winnipeg and Montreal at TD Garden to begin their campaign.
Winnipeg at NY Islanders 1:00 PM ET
Blake Wheeler and captain Andrew Ladd played a big role in the Winnipeg Jets reaching the playoffs last season, and the duo is off to a flying start through two games of the team's season-opening road trip. Winnipeg visits the New York Islanders on Monday afternoon in search of its third win in a row while Wheeler and Ladd attempt to add to the three goals and three assists for which they combined in victories over Boston and New Jersey.
Columbus at Buffalo 3:00 PM ET
Two teams seeking their first victory of 2015-16 face off Monday afternoon, when the Buffalo Sabres conclude their season-opening three-game homestand against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Buffalo has begun the Jack Eichel Era with a whimper, scoring just one goal each in losses to Ottawa and Tampa Bay.
Florida at Philadelphia 7:00 PM ET
The Philadelphia Flyers look to exact revenge and post their first victory of the season when they host the Florida Panthers on Monday in the back end of a home-and-home series. Philadelphia opened 2015-16 with a 3-2 loss at Tampa Bay in the inaugural game that featured 3-on-3 play in overtime before concluding their trip to the Sunshine State with an embarrassing 7-1 setback at Florida.
Vancouver at Anaheim 10:00 PM ET
The Anaheim Ducks look to rebound from a rough season opener when they make their 2015-16 home debut against the Vancouver Canucks on Monday. The Ducks, who lost Game 7 of the Western Conference final at home to Chicago this past spring, allowed 44 shots while registering only three in the third period of a 2-0 loss at rival San Jose on Saturday.
