Florida at Boston 7:00 PM ET
The Boston Bruins can go a long way toward nailing down an eighth consecutive postseason berth when they host the Florida Panthers on Tuesday night. The Bruins have won two in a row following a six-game losing streak (0-3-3) to move three points clear of Ottawa for the second wild card in the Eastern Conference. Boston is also trying to hold off the Panthers, who are sitting four points behind the Bruins as they make the final stop on a five-game road trip.
Carolina at Washington 7:00 PM ET
Captain Alex Ovechkin needs to score just once more to reach the 50-goal plateau for the sixth time in his career, matching Guy Lafleur, Marcel Dionne and Mario Lemieux while moving within three seasons of tying Mike Bossy and Wayne Gretzky. Ovechkin looks to accomplish that feat and send the Washington Capitals to their sixth win in eight games when they host the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday.
New Jersey at Columbus 7:00 PM ET
Two Metropolitan Division rivals basically playing out the string face off Tuesday, when the Columbus Blue Jackets host the New Jersey Devils. Columbus has yet to officially be eliminated from postseason contention, but it trails Boston for the second wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference by 13 points with seven games remaining.
Tampa Bay at Toronto 7:30 PM ET
The Tampa Bay Lightning look to seize first place in the Atlantic Division just 24 hours after clinching a playoff spot when they visit the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday. The injury-hampered Lightning knocked off Montreal 5-3 on Monday for their franchise-record 47th victory and moved within a point of the first-place Canadiens while avoiding a three-game losing streak. Tampa Bay’s high-scoring offense attempts to take advantage of the Leafs, who have allowed 49 goals in the last 12 games.
Ottawa at Detroit 7:30 PM ET
The Ottawa Senators made a spectacular charge up the standings to move into the second wild card in the Eastern Conference but three straight losses have left them back on the outside of the playoff picture. Ottawa, which trails eighth-place Boston by three points with a game in hand, looks to break out its funk when it visits the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday. Andrew Hammond sparked a 15-1-1 run by the Senators, who have allowed 13 goals in the three-game skid.
Vancouver at Nashville 8:00 PM ET
After already punching their ticket to the postseason, the Nashville Predators look to improve their standing when they host the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday. Playing its third contest in four nights, Nashville saw its four-game winning streak come to a halt with a 5-2 setback to Calgary on Sunday in the opener of a three-game homestand.
NY Rangers at Winnipeg 8:00 PM ET
The New York Rangers will try to avert their first three-game losing streak since mid-November when they open a two-game road trip at the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday. The Metropolitan Division-leading Rangers were shaping up as the team to beat in the race for the Presidents' Trophy before dropping back-to-back games for the first time since Jan. 27-29. New York had limited opponents to two goals or fewer in 10 straight games before coughing up 13 in the past three losses.
