Preview Roundups
March 30, 2016
Ottawa at Winnipeg 7:30 PM ET
Wednesday night's matchup between the visiting Ottawa Senators and Winnipeg Jets will be noteworthy in one respect - it's just another reminder that no Canadian-based teams will be in the playoffs for the first time in 46 years. The Senators represent Canada's lone hope to maintain the streak, but it would take a miracle after they dropped four of their last five games.
Washington at Philadelphia 8:00 PM ET
With their second Presidents' Trophy already under wraps, the Washington Capitals will attempt to set the franchise mark for wins in a season on Wednesday when they visit a potential first-round opponent in the Philadelphia Flyers. Washington's 54 victories this season are even with the total of the 2009-10 club, which was unceremoniously bounced by eighth-seeded Montreal in the first round of the playoffs.
Calgary at Anaheim 10:00 PM ET
The Pacific Division remains up for grabs and the Anaheim Ducks have a chance to leapfrog the Los Angeles Kings for first place with a victory over the visiting Calgary Flames on Wednesday night. Anaheim is opening a four-game homestand against a team it has completely owned, winning 22 straight regular-season matchups versus Calgary at the Honda Center.
