Buffalo at Toronto 7:00 PM ET
The Buffalo Sabres visit the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday with losses in each of their last four games. The Maple Leafs aren't faring much better, going winless in their last three (0-2-1) and emerging victorious in one of their last six contests (1-4-1). The Atlantic Division rivals split the first two games of their season series with each recording a home triumph, but the Sabres haven’t won on the road against the Maple Leafs in five visits.
NY Rangers at Washington 8:00 PM ET
After defeating their cross-town rivals, the New York Rangers can supplant them atop the Metropolitan Division with a victory over the host Washington Capitals on Wednesday. Rick Nash scored his team-leading 39th goal early in the third period as the Rangers skated to a 2-1 triumph over the New York Islanders on Monday. The Rangers improved to 14-2-3 in their last 19 games overall and moved within one point of the first-place Islanders.
Anaheim at Calgary 9:30 PM ET
Bruce Boudreau and the Anaheim Ducks aren't accustomed to losing streaks this season, but the coach wasn't willing to overact after seeing his club suffer back-to-back setbacks. "I'm mad and frustrated as everybody (else) but I mean, that wasn't a bad effort," Boudreau told the Orange County Register after the team's 2-1 setback to Vancouver on Monday. The Pacific Division-leading Ducks look to get back on track when they wrap up a three-game road trip against the Calgary Flames on Wednesday.
