March 08, 2015
Detroit at Boston 12:30 PM ET
With four goals in his last three games, Brad Marchand is doing his best to propel the Boston Bruins toward their eighth straight postseason berth. Marchand looks to continue his run of good fortune when the Bruins conclude their four-game homestand against the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday afternoon.
Edmonton at Carolina 3:00 PM ET
The Edmonton Oilers begin a stretch of seven games against Eastern Conference opponents when they visit the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday. The Oilers have a winning record against the East (13-11-1) despite their basement-dwelling status in the Western Conference. Carolina is at the bottom of the Metropolitan Division after dropping its first two games in March.
Philadelphia at New Jersey 5:00 PM ET
The Philadelphia Flyers were on the cusp of moving within two points of the second wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference, only to watch Boston's Brad Marchand score late in regulation and again in overtime to put their postseason aspirations in jeopardy. The Flyers look to dust themselves off after their disheartening 3-2 loss to the Bruins when they visit the New Jersey Devils on Sunday.
Colorado at Minnesota 6:00 PM ET
The surging Minnesota Wild seek their sixth consecutive victory as they attempt to complete a sweep of the season series when they host the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday. Minnesota has climbed past Winnipeg for the first wild card in the Western Conference and within four points of Chicago for third place in the Central Division by going 16-2-1 over its last 19 contests. The Wild have completely dominated the Avalanche this campaign, winning the first four meetings by a combined 12-1 score.
Calgary at Ottawa 7:00 PM ET
The Ottawa Senators and Calgary Flames overcame early two-goal deficits to continue their winning ways in their last contest. The surging clubs look to continue their pursuits of their respective postseason bids when they meet in Canada's capital on Sunday. Mark Stone scored the go-ahead goal in the third period as Ottawa rallied to a 3-2 victory over Buffalo on Friday and improved to 7-0-1 in its last eight contests.
NY Rangers at Chicago 7:30 PM ET
The Chicago Blackhawks attempt to complete a sweep of their three-game homestand when they host the New York Rangers on Sunday. Chicago began its brief stretch at United Center by trouncing Carolina on Monday before edging Edmonton 2-1 in a shootout four nights later. The Blackhawks enter Sunday four points behind second-place St. Louis and four ahead of fourth-place Minnesota in the Central Division.
