Columbus at New Jersey 7:00 PM ET
The New Jersey Devils are doing their best to remain in the conversation for the postseason, while the Columbus Blue Jackets lost any voice they had during their seven-game winless streak (0-6-1). Riding a 6-1-1 stretch in their last eight games, the Devils look to bolster their slim hopes when they host their Metropolitan Division rivals on Friday.
Minnesota at Carolina 7:00 PM ET
The Minnesota Wild have been one of the hottest teams in the league over the past 1 1/2 months despite boasting a truly anemic power play. That unit will be put to the test Friday as the Wild put their four-game winning streak on the line against the host Carolina Hurricanes. The Wild improved to 17-4-1 in their last 22 games with a 2-1 comeback victory over Washington on Thursday despite owning the league's third-worst power-play unit.
Buffalo at Ottawa 7:30 PM ET
The Ottawa Senators are one of the hottest teams in the Eastern Conference - and they get the perfect opportunity to continue their success Friday as they entertain the last-place Buffalo Sabres in an Atlantic Division showdown. The Senators are coming off a 3-1 victory in Winnipeg that capped an impressive 4-0-1 road trip through the Western Conference and improved them to 8-1-2 in their last 11 games. That run began with a 2-1 win in Buffalo on Feb. 10.
Calgary at Detroit 7:30 PM ET
The Calgary Flames vie for their third straight victory as they continue their road trip against the Detroit Red Wings on Friday. Calgary began its seven-game trek by dropping two of the first three contests before edging Philadelphia in overtime on Tuesday and outlasting Boston in a shootout two nights later. Defenseman David Schlemko scored the decisive goal in the eighth round of the bonus format as the Flames climbed within two points of Vancouver for second place in the Pacific Division.
Edmonton at Chicago 8:30 PM ET
The Chicago Blackhawks have rediscovered their offense and will attempt to win for the fourth time in five games when they host the Edmonton Oilers on Friday. Captain Jonathan Toews collected two goals and an assist in Monday's 5-2 triumph over Carolina and has recorded two of each in two meetings with Edmonton this season.
Pittsburgh at Anaheim 10:00 PM ET
The league-leading Anaheim Ducks seek their fifth consecutive victory when they host the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday. Anaheim has overtaken Nashville in the race for the Presidents' Trophy by winning seven of its last eight contests, allowing just one goal in each of the last three. The Ducks, who have a comfortable lead over Vancouver in the Pacific Division, skated to a 3-1 triumph over visiting Montreal on Wednesday as defenseman Francois Beauchemin scored his fourth goal in eight games.
