Preview Roundups
February 15, 2015
Pittsburgh at Chicago 12:30 PM ET
Marian Hossa has been an integral part of the Chicago Blackhawks' success of late, scoring a staggering seven times over the last four games. The 36-year-old looks to continue his torrid stretch as the Blackhawks play the fourth contest of their season-high eight-game homestand against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday afternoon.
St. Louis at Florida 5:00 PM ET
The Florida Panthers host the St. Louis Blues on Sunday hoping to improve their dismal record against Central Division opponents. The Panthers have won one of nine meetings against the division (1-6-2) and facing a red-hot Blues team won’t make their task any easier. St. Louis is a blistering 14-2-1 in its last 17 contests and is trying to keep pace with the division-leading Nashville Predators.
Philadelphia at Buffalo 7:30 PM ET
The Philadelphia Flyers look to extend their season-high point streak to nine games when they vie for their fifth consecutive victory over the host Buffalo Sabres on Sunday. Philadelphia, which has dropped two in a row during a 5-0-3 stretch, saw a two-goal lead evaporate in the third period and suffered a 4-3 overtime loss to Columbus on Friday. Wayne Simmonds collected two goals and an assist versus the Blue Jackets to extend his point streak to three games.
Washington at Anaheim 8:00 PM ET
The Anaheim Ducks return to Southern California from a five-game road trip to host the Washington Capitals on Sunday. Anaheim went 2-2-1 on its trek thanks to a 2-1 triumph at Carolina on Thursday in which Matt Beleskey scored and set up a goal in a span of less than three minutes late in the second period to erase a deficit.
Tampa Bay at San Jose 8:00 PM ET
The Tampa Bay Lightning begin a difficult five-game trip at a place where they have not had much luck of late as they face the San Jose Sharks on Sunday. The Lightning have lost five straight times at San Jose while being outscored 27-7 and were 0-4-1 last season playing at the teams they will face on their trek, which also includes visits to Los Angeles, Anaheim, Arizona and Colorado. Antti Niemi made 32 saves as the Sharks won at Tampa Bay 2-1 on Nov. 13.
